That sounds very interesting … too bad it’s on the other side of the world.

Yes, it’s a very interesting fair for guitars and musicians: all the best to be seen and bought (with lots of money! 😀 ).
My favourites are PRS Paul Reed Smith guitars (www.prsguitars.com) ❤
Happy Caturday to you, too! I imagine that my husband has heard of PRS – he loves guitars, but I admit that the only manufacturer that I can think of off the top of my head is Gibson and that is because a few months ago, my husband purchased one of their guitars that was ‘made in the USA’ – and it had cheap pickups, which were made in Korea… he fumed about the misadvertising for days.
For sure, your hubsband knows PRS guitars! Gibson’s are partially made in the USA, but pickups can be easily and simply changed with better ones like Seyomre Duncan’s (https://www.seymourduncan.com). I think Seymore Duncan has a special service/support for it 😀
My husband often has instruments brought in because of pickup problems. It’s amazing what a difference those can make in the sound. I don’t actually understand how they work, but I know it has something to do with magnets because he received a batch (think they were humbuckers, which are in pairs of positive/negative) and all of them were ‘wound’ the same way, making them all the same vs. being in pairs.
Me, too, do not understand the technical part of those pickups but my hubby builds/repairs guitars, his owned and of his friends, so he knows what’s going on with them 😀
Your hubby and mine have a lot in common … does he repair and build amps, too?
Yes, lots of guitars! 😀
No, my hubby doesn’t repair amps. He hasn’t the needed tools and instruments.
My husband tries to avoid the newer style amps and mainly repairs the ones with tubes.
WOW… it seems to be a difficult thing to do 😛
He’s been working on that type since he was 12 & thinks it is simple.
The Master of Amps! Must tell my hubby your hubby can do that work! Last time my hubby’s amp did not work he became angry because the technician asked for lots of money 😦
My husband could talk your husband cross-eyed about amps – at least he could, if your husband understands English. The one he’s working on was mis-wired by someone. I always tell him that he could make a lot of money doing that, but he only does this as a favor to friends… however, he has tons of friends who are musicians, so there always seems to be extra amps around.
A new successful business across the big ocean 😀
My hubby speaks a little bit English (High School) but musicians speak another language, the language of notes and chords 😆
If your husband reads schematics, mine literally has books full of amp schematics. He has other technical books on the topic, too, but high school English might not be quite enough to understand them (frankly, my degree is in English and I’m not sure I understand some of his books…). I suspect Engineering is a different dialect. If he would be interested in reading material suggestions, let me know at email@example.com
Thank you so much, I will tell that to my hubby and let you know if he is interested in 😀
You’re right, Engineering is a difficult dialect, I do understand nothing, absolutely nothing!
Have a great week!
Amps around are thousands, needing a good technician to repair them. Yes, it is a good way to make money 🙂
Maybe, when your husband retires he can consider this new activity!
LOL, he retired (disabled veteran) young and does this to have something to do.
Your husband is a veteran! I am sorry for his disability but very honoured for his merit 🙂
He does fine, just can’t push himself and would have problems if he had a ‘regular job’ because he would be forced to push himself on bad days and that would make things worse.
Yeesss PRS are great six strings guns!
Why do agree with you 😀
